Senia's story

Senia is 53 years old and married with four children. She has a small plantation where she grows taro and bananas that she can sell in her community or at the market. She has been doing this for nine years. Senia is a hardworking mother, and is strong and healthy. She has many customers due to her delicious products.

Senia needs a loan to buy chemicals, fertilizer, a new wheelbarrow, a tiller, a rake, new gum boots and a spade. This equipment will help her grow her business. Senia will use the profits from her sales to pay for her family’s weekly expenses.

Senia has been a member of SPBD since 2000. She slowly became successful when she joined the program and established a small business to help her family get out of poverty and send her children to school. Senia is very grateful for your support helping her build a business to improve her family's living standards.
