Masechaba's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE 1 hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Masechaba's story

Masechaba is a 51-year-old woman who lives in a one-bedroom house, without access to electricity, with nine other family members including five children.

Masechaba relies on self-employment and struggles with buying multiple fuels and insufficient income. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on LPG, wood and paraffin, which costs up to LSL 78 per month. She also spends as much as one hour per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Masechaba bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help her and her family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar-powered. For more information on the ACE1 cookstove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
