Christina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more maize to sell.

Christina's story

Christina is a 24-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and child in the Chikwawa district in Malawi. She is an active member of CAMA, CAMFED’s alumnae association, and sells dry maize. She is requesting a Kiva loan to grow her capital to support her current business by buying more bags of maize. She plans to use the profits she earns to continue to provide for her mother and siblings but also contribute to CAMA.

Christina will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide, facilitating classes from CAMFED’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local primary school, helping to build children’s self-esteem and motivating them to remain in school.
