Comemee's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy silk thread, dye colors, and materials for weaving silk cloth.

Comemee's story

Comemee is a local woman living with her children and grandchildren in a Kui community of Surin Province in the northeastern region of Thailand. Her family basically cultivates a jasmine rice farm and also weaves silk cloth for selling to make a living.

Regarding weaving silk cloth, Comemee was inspired and learned from her mother and ancestors since she was young. This occupation has been generating sufficient income for spending in her family. During this period, her grandchildren are studying in high school, so she needed to increase more income to support their education fees. Then, she looked for an opportunity to improve her business and then applied for the Kiva loan to buy silk thread, dye colors, and materials to weave silk cloth.

The loan will enable Comemee to afford sufficient materials for her occupation and also supports her as a local woman entrepreneur. In the future, she is passionate to have her own selling silk cloth shop in the village.
