Mapitso's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase the ACE One hybrid energy system for cooking, lighting and charging in a way that is safer, cleaner and saves money.

Mapitso's story

Mapitso is a 30-year-old woman who lives in a separated hut, without access to electricity, with one child. Mapitso relies on self employment and struggles with buying multiple fuel and insufficient income. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on gas and paraffin, which costs up to LSL 273 per month. She also spends as much as one hour per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Mapitso bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help her and her family save the money spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar-powered.
