Suai's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy yarn and materials to make craft keychains for sale.

Suai's story

Suai is a married local woman who lives with her husband and children in a Kui community in Surin Province in the northeastern region of Thailand. Her family basically operates a jasmine rice farm and makes craft keychains for sale.

She looked for a loan to keep up her occupation because she desired to earn more income for her family's daily expenses and for the need to pay for the educational expenses of her children. She realized that making handicraft keychains is capable of generating more income. She learned from, and was inspired by, a group of craft workers from the village. Therefore, she asked for the Kiva loan to buy yarn and materials to make the handcrafted keychains for sale.

The loan will allow her to afford sufficient materials for her occupation, as well as support her as a local woman entrepreneur. In the future, she has plans to have her own small shop to sell her handcraft products. And she desires to have a better standard of living for her family.
