Edith's story

Greetings from Kapsowar, Kenya! Meet Edith, 48, a single lady who is very determined and whose dream is to lead to a successful life. She lives in Kerugoya where she does mixed farming.

She is a mother to six and loves her children. Her desire to give them a better life made her realize her potential in farming where she has been doing it for 30 years. Farming is her only source of livelihood and, as the sole family bread winner, giving up is something she cannot even think of.

However, due to the low sales during the Covid-19 pandemic, her business went down. Therefore, she is seeking a loan to purchase farm inputs such as hybrid seeds, fertilizers and pesticides to boost her farming and the produce as well. Edith is hopeful that she will gain momentum, escalate higher and make more profits. Through this, she will be able to meet the basic needs of her farm and her family. Dear lender, help this single woman in reducing the effect of the pandemic!
