A loan helped to pay for repairs to her fishing boat.

Las Chascas Group's story

Dora Isabel is 45 years old, single, and lives alone in her own home. She is a fisherwoman and has her own boat. Dora Isabel learned this trade at a young age from her parents and now she is able to generate her own daily income so that she can be financially stable. However, her fishing boat needs a few repairs, which makes it difficult for her to do her job of fishing.

Dora Isabel is requesting a loan so that she can pay for repairs to her fishing boat, which will make it safer for her to fish and allow her to obtain a larger catch that she can sell to earn more income. She dreams of always remaining active in her business.

Dora Isabel, Ronaldo, and Maria make up the solidarity group “Las Chascas”. They are responsible and enterprising people who seek to help their families get ahead.
