Faipine's story

Faipine is a 43-year-old mother of four children. She has a small farm where she grows taro root and bananas to sell in her community or at the market. Faipine has been in this business for nine years. She is a hardworking mother who is strong and healthy. Faipine has many customers because she offers them delicious products.

She needs a loan to buy chemicals, fertilizer, a new wheelbarrow, a tiller, a rake, new rubber boots, and a spade. This equipment will help her to grow her business. Faipine will use the profits from her sales to cover her family’s weekly expenses.

She has been a member of SPBD since 2000. Faipine slowly became successful after she joined the program. She established a small business to help her family out of poverty and send her children to school. Faipine is very grateful to the lenders for providing financial assistance and helping her build a business to improve her family’s standard of living.
