Noong Luong 42 Group's story

Mrs. Bun is 46 years old and lives with her husband and daughter in a remote village in the northwest of Vietnam, where people rely on agricultural production for a living.

Mrs. Bun works very hard at cultivation and animal husbandry, including cultivating rice and raising buffalo, pigs and chickens. She also earns extra income from the hair trade; she buys hair from people in the village and then she sells it to traders. She is a really hardworking woman and has always wanted to expand and diversify her agricultural production.

Recently, she took her thirteen loan from the Anh Chi Em program after successfully repaying her previous loan. This time the loan will be used to buy a buffalo. In order to have abundant food for her buffalo, she grows 400 square metres of elephant grass, which is a very nutritious grass that buffalo like to eat.

Mrs. Bun hopes that her effort will be successful so that her family’s income will be improved and they will have a more abundant life. In the picture, she stands first on the right.
