Las Colomeñas Rural Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a variety of vegetables to sell.

Las Colomeñas Rural Group's story

Nicolasa is divorced and has four children. She works selling vegetables in the market. She learned this work from her parents. On a typical day, she gets up very early to make sales at the market, working until 5pm. She used her previous loan to invest in merchandise for her market stall. This loan will also be used to buy a variety of vegetables to sell. In this way she will grow her business, since this support helped her greatly during the pandemic.

She got to know the other members of this communal banking group because they are neighbors, friends, and family. Her goals and aspirations in relation to this loan are to invest in purchasing merchandise for her market stall. Her life goals for herself and her family are to give them a better life and an education for her children so that they can become much better and be able to study.

In the photo only the board members of the communal banking group appear because the distribution of funds occurred remotely due to the pandemic.
