Baraka Office Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy Bralima and Brasimba drinks, which will strengthen her initial capital.

Baraka Office Group's story

Therese is a client of the Hekima MFI and the chairperson of the "Baraka Office" village group. She is married, 55 years old and mother of five children, three of whom are in school and two of whom are already finished; her partner is a trader.

She is a beverage seller, having started this business 10 years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. Later she involved the Hekima programme to support her business, over the course of which she gradually evolved. With this new loan, she will stock up on Bralima and Brasimba drinks, which will build on her initial capital. The challenge of her business is the lack of customers.

She would like her children to continue studying and she would like to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting non-bankable business owners in the context of the global crisis related to COVID-19. The photo is only of the leader of the group because of COVID-19 in respect of social distancing measures.
