Mujeres Luchadoras Group's story

The Communal Bank “Mujeres Luchadoras” is in its fifth loan cycle with 10 members. Due to the pandemic, the photo only shows the three group representatives who make up the Board of Directors: the president, treasurer, and secretary.

Elizabeth is the president of the Communal Bank. She is 53 years old and considers herself to be a cheerful, hardworking, and humble person who has the drive to succeed. Elizabeth has four children, so she keeps working hard to help them achieve their dreams. For more than 10 years, she has been selling food. In the mornings, Elizabeth prepares the dishes that she will offer to her customers. In addition, she is seamstress who produces clothes.

For this opportunity, Elizbeth is requesting a Kiva loan to buy sewing materials such as fabrics, thread, needles, and other supplies so that she can provide better service to her customers. Her goals are to make improvements to her small house and to provide for her youngest child’s education. In the future, she hopes to have a workshop and a clothing store.
