08-Boudie Samine Group's story

This group of 9 women belongs to a banc villageois that was created in August 2011. They live in the same village and get along well. They all work in retail in order to have a certain amount of freedom. Malafi, aged 46, is the representative of the group and pictured alone because of the preventive measures against covid-19. She is married and the mother of 5 children. She has another boy under her care. With this new loan, she is planning to buy baobab fruits, bissap [hibiscus juice] and sugar to make juice and ice cream. She also sells ice. The profits will be used to strengthen her savings and take care of her children.
