Mapema Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on flour, potatoes, mustard, and oil.

Mapema Group's story

Ms. Josephine is a client of the microfinance institution Hekima and presides over the village group named “MAPEMA”; she is a widow, 49 years old, and the mother of three children, all in school.

A vendor of grocery items, she started this enterprise thirteen years ago with startup funding from her husband. Later on, she got involved in the Hekima program to support her enterprise. She has since been working progressively in it.

With this new loan, she will get supplies of flour, potatoes, mustard, and oil to bolster her initial capital. The challenge in her business has to do with missing customers.

She would like to feed her family and for her children to continue their studies. So she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for supporting business owners lacking cash during this global crisis linked to COVID-19. The photo shows only the group leader because of COVID-19, so as to respect social distancing measures.
