Karen Lorena's story

Karen Lorena is an enterprising 36 year old woman and resident of the city of Barranquilla. She has a business selling embroidered t-shirts. Karen started this business about three years ago out of the desire to get ahead and provide a better quality of living for her family. She has gained recognition as being a responsible person who is very committed to her work. The lady does the complete process manually and offers her products to people from around her area with payment in cash or on credit. Because of COVID-19 she had to suspend her labor due to health concerns and her economic activity diminished.

She is currently applying for her 1st loan from Kiva with La Fundación Santo Domingo to increase her working capital and buy t-shirts, embroidery hoops, thread, beads, seed beads, needles, glue and onyx paper. She wants to increase her number of sales and her profits. Support her with her business loan!
