Nelson's story

Nelson is a young entrepreneur who is 25 years of age and a resident of the city of Cartagena de Indias, where he lives with his wife. He has a fast food business that he started approximately five years ago because he wanted to provide a better quality of life for his family. Nelson started his business with a small amount of savings. Over time, he gained recognition in his neighborhood for his good work and for being a responsible person. He offers his services every day and his main customers are people from other areas, neighbors, and passersby.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he had to suspend his activities because of directives from the national government and for safety reasons. As a result, his sales and profits were drastically affected. Nelson is currently requesting his first Kiva loan from Fundación Santo Domingo to increase his operating capital for his business. He plans to buy an oven and an inventory of ingredients such as flour, eggs, cold cuts, and other products. This will help to increase his sales and profits. Please support his business loan.
