Rose's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs such as organic fertilizers and seeds to improve her production and help a hardworking mum make more income.

Rose's story

Wonderful Kiva community, this is Rose (43), one of the most hardworking women in the world. She is a remote farmer and a mother of three school-going children who is unwilling to let her children suffer.

Through continuous involvement in farming, Rose has been able to keep the reputation of her family high. She practices dairy farming and crop farming and a few other business ventures that make her able to meet the daily expenses of her family.

The biggest problem that farmers from Rose's village face is the huge deficit in terms of access to agricultural inputs, meaning those farmers' yields and incomes are far below what they could be.

Juhudi Kilimo partnered with Kiva to provide financial services to small farmers around Kenya. Through these financial services, farmers from her village, like Rose, can now buy productive assets and important agricultural inputs for use on their farms.

Rose is seeking a loan to buy farm inputs such as seeds and fertilizer. Your loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs.

This intervention will help her meet the increasing demand for food in the market and, in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and improve her family's quality of life. She also hopes to improve the conditions of her house.

Help this mother to accomplish all of her dreams with just a loan!
