José's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for a pig and some fodder.

José's story

José, aged 26, is a young father of a family. He has two children from his marriage. The family resides in an area that is rural yet accessible. José is a peasant farmer and devotes himself to raising livestock and growing crops. Harvests are for both consuming and selling.

José wishes to progress. No longer wanting to live in the family house, he wants to have a nice modern house. He decided to gather his efforts to reach his goal. He is starting to expand his pig farm. He needs funding, so he joined Vahatra to take out loans. He benefited from an initial loan and has finished repaying it.

For the next loan, he is turning to Kiva lenders. He is going to purchase a pig and some fodder. The pig will be sold after six months and another will be bought. He is going to save his money for his plans.
