Vettelina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for her children's school fees to get a better education and also a gas stove for her food stall to increase her income.

Vettelina's story

Vettelina lives in an urban area just a 5-minute drive off Port Vila city, Vanuatu. Her community is small, and the main industry is food. Although Covid-19 struck Vanuatu's tourism industry hard, it has been quite satisfactory for one to make income.

Vettelina is 47 years old and is happily married to a law enforcement officer. They have four children who are of ages 21, 19, 17 and 15. She lives with her husband and children in their own home.

Vettelina has asked for a loan to help pay for her children's school fees, so they can get well-paid jobs in the future. She would also purchase a gas stove for her food stall to better provide for her customers. This will help increase her revenue, which she will use to renovate and make an extension to her food stall, so she can better accommodate her customers.

Vettelina has had her business for over 6 years now. She dreams of extending her food stall to provide a comfortable place for her customers to have a nice hot meal.

South Pacific Business Development (Vanuatu) Ltd has helped Vettelina for 3 years now, and this is her fourth loan. She has successful repaid her prior loans on time. As she grows her business with her loans, Vettelina is motivated to expand her business and become a successful entrepreneur.
