Fe Y Esperanza Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy basic ingredients to make tortillas and nacatamales.

Fe Y Esperanza Group's story

Irayda is a businesswoman who makes and sells tortillas and nacatamales [Nicaraguan-style tamales], which she has been selling in her community for three years. She comments that her idea of selling nacatamales arose after making this product for family consumption. On selling what was extra, she became aware that this was profitable. She works along with her husband. She has other income derived from the sale of enchiladas, which she sells in the church.

She is applying to FUNDENUSE for a loan with Kiva funds for the purchase of basic materials for making her products. Her aspirations are to continue working and to make bread to increase her income.

She belongs to the solidarity group "Fe y Esperanza" [Faith and Hope], along with Vicenta, Maria, and Glady, who work in the same economic activity.
