Lissette Rafaela's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy T-shirts, trousers, shirts, dresses, shorts, and other products her customers have ordered.

Lissette Rafaela's story

Lissette Rafaela and her family live in the parish of Colon in the canton of Portoviejo, where most of the people work in agriculture. The local cuisine, which is varied and appreciated, includes dishes such as chicken soup, stewed chicken, and bananas roasted in clay ovens.

Lissette Rafaela previously had a small grocery store at her house, but she now sells catalog products and clothing of various brands. She goes house to house to offer the catalogs to her customers so that they can choose what they want. They pay 50% upfront and then she collects the difference when the orders are delivered.

Lissette Rafaela and her husband were the only ones in their family to contract COVID-19, but they have already recovered. She was not able to sell at the start of the pandemic due to social isolation, the fear of getting sick, and various restrictions on travel. However, she is now following biosafety protocols.

This loan will be used to buy T-shirts, trousers, shirts, dresses, shorts, and other products her customers have ordered. Her dreams are to have a shop where she can continue her sales and to see her family in good health.
