San Jorge Group's story

These are the members of the San Jorge Group which is a Pro Mujer association in Chinandega, Nicaragua. For over 20 years they have been requesting loans for their businesses. Most of them are in business selling sweets, piñatas, new clothing, groceries, tortillas, or work in school transport, sewing or cosmetics.

Sara Amelia (in the middle, dressed in pants and a blue top with gray hair) is 61. She is one of members and the treasurer of the group. Through hard work she was able to put her children through high school. Now she lives with her husband who is retired. A new loan will allow Sara to start a small shop and invest in sweets and making piñatas.

She counts on your support for her prosperity.
