Tamar's story

Tamar is a 19-year-old motivated student at the State University. She's from Batumi, West Georgia, and has only her parents and sister, who can't afford Tamar's higher education fees.

She's struggling to pay her second year tuition, so she started to seek funding from local creditors. Tamar has a great will to enhance her knowledge in National Sciences and Health and studies hard for the opportunity to become certified.

After requesting a loan from local creditors, Tamar can receive the needed amount thanks to a joint initiative of Kiva and Credo Bank's Educational Program that gives poor people the chance to get a higher education.

She's very confident about her potential. After graduation from the university, Tamar believes she'll have a lot of opportunities to compete and will find a good job in her profession.
