Fipe's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy kava stock such as unpounded kava roots (waka) and (lewena), packaging, and chasers.

Fipe's story

With the daily surging of Covid-19 cases (delta variant)in Fiji and the restrictions made in place for villagers, Fipe has to struggle to make ends meet for her family. She wanted to start her business of selling pounded kava.

Fipe requested a loan, which she will use to assist her in her kava shop by buying more unpounded kava roots (waka) and (lewena) and chasers which she can sell at home and at the market. With this financial assistance, she will be able to support her family financially and grow her own kava plants instead of buying from local farmers.

Despite the Covid-19 pandemic in Fiji, Fipe is confident that with the great demands for kava at the market she will be able to make a profitable kava business.
