Tamara's story

Tamara Hovannisyan is from the village of Horom in the Shirak region of Armenia. She is married with three children. Her daughter is 14 years old and her two sons are 21 and 19 years old. Tamara has a high school diploma. She has been self-employed in farming for the past 20 years. She considers herself a hard worker and has a dream of renovating her house and establishing a small shop to support her family. She is looking for a loan to purchase fuel and cattle feed to support her small livestock business. If successful, she expects her income to increase by 25% from her business loan. In addition to supporting the education of her children, she also provides her brother’s family with agricultural produce grown on her farm. She really enjoys living in Horom as she and her family like working the land. She has chosen to expand her business so the family can continue living in their village of Horom.
