A loan helped to purchase more food stuff such as sugar, oil, rice, pepper and other assorted items to increase her business.

Koyie's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 38 year old Koyie from the Dwazark branch. She is married with five children between the ages of 9 and 22 years old and all of them are attending school. She started this business because she wants to take care of her family.

Koyie runs a retail table business and sells cookery and other assorted items to her customers around the community. Her other source of income comes from her husband. She has been in this business for the past 5 years. Koyie says her business is going well without any challenges.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more food stuff such as sugar, oil, rice, pepper and other assorted items to increase her business. Koyie says that the extra income from this loan will help her to take care of her family and to increase her business.

In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to Brac and Kiva for their support.
