A loan helped to buy chicks.

Thanh Luong 43 Group's story

Mrs. Dien, 51, is the representative of Thanh Luong 43 group. She lives with her husband and two children in a remote village of Dien Bien province, a northwestern border province of Vietnam. She has joined Anh Chi Em microfinance program for 10 loan cycles and now her children have all matured and have stable jobs.

Although family economy is no longer difficult as before, Mrs. Dien is always working hard to earn extra income as well as save. Mrs. Dien shares that she loves to work in agriculture and it seems to have absorbed into her blood. Recently, she requested a loan from Anh Chi Em program to invest in her farm. She bought more chicks for raising and will sell them later.

She thanked the Kiva lenders and Anh Chi Em program that helped her approach capital easily, without a mortgage. She hopes the people around the world will always be lucky to approach capital easily and get out of poverty.
