Thanh Luong 42 Group's story

Mrs. Thanh is 56 years old and has been a farmer for more than 30 years. She lives with her husband and a grandson in a small house in a remote village of Northwest Vietnam.

Where Mrs. Thanh lives, most of everyone's main income is from agricultural production activities. Mrs. Thanh now owns 3,000 square meters of rice field and a sow. In order to get more income, Mrs. Thanh'd like to expand her pig-raising model. She plans to build a new stable for her pigs and buy two more pigs for raising. For that purpose, she requested her eighth loan at Anh Chi Em microfinance program.

Mrs. Thanh is very grateful to Anh Chi Em program and Kiva lenders who have helped poor people like her approach a loan easier. She believes with her many years of experience in breeding and the support of breeding techniques of Anh Chi Em, this investment will be as successful as the previous one. Mrs. Thanh shared that she will continue investing in pigs and chicken in the future.
