Mujeres Al Exito Con Diaconía Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase ingredients for her empanada stand.

Mujeres Al Exito Con Diaconía Group's story

Thanks to her empanada sales, Maria Raquel is able to provide for her three children in tough economic times in Paraguay. Maria is a hardworking woman who has also started cleaning homes in her community to generate additional income for her family. With her current loan, she will restock ingredients to keep making and selling traditional, Paraguayan empanadas.

Others in her group are seamstresses, have bakeries and sell jewelry and clothes, among other things. Due to strict social gathering restrictions in Paraguay caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, Maria's group cannot meet regularly so she is the only one who appears in their group profile photo.
