Diandigal Medina Thisse Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy sheep and feed, and to cover veterinary costs.

Diandigal Medina Thisse Group's story

Mrs. Djiba, age 30, is the president of the group DIANDIGAL MEDINA THISSE, which means "cohesion". She is a livestock farmer, married to a merchant and mother to seven children ages 5 to 17 years old, two of whom are still in school.

She has been rearing sheep and goats for many years. Like the other nine members of the group, she buys the animals at weekly markets in the area. When they are grown, she sells them in neighboring cities for higher profits.

Djiba's goals are to have a sheep pen and also a shop to sell her dairy products as this particular commercial activity is a family tradition.

She is requesting a loan to buy three sheep for 40,000F CFA each and some feed, and to cover the cost of veterinary care.

What she likes most in her work is being able to help her husband to provide for their family's needs with her earnings.

This loan will allow her to increase her income and to achieve her goals.

Lately, she wants to have the means to deal with the diseases affecting her livestock during the rainy season.
