Teresita's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy feed for their hogs; seeds, pesticides and fertilizer for their farm; the rest of the loan will be used to buy grocery items for their store.

Teresita's story

Teresita is from Concepcion, Iloilo. She is 65 years old and married. To earn an income, she runs various businesses like hog-raising and a small store. She has been in these businesses for many years. Meanwhile, her husband works as a farmer to provide for the family.

Teresita requested the amount of PHP 20,000 through KIVA’s field partner CEVI, (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines which she will use to buy feed for their hogs and seeds, pesticides and fertilizer for their farm. The rest of the loan will be used to buy grocery items for their store.

Teresita wants to improve their business and become stable.
