Union Pour La Progression Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to stock up on potatoes, oil, embers and rice, which will supplement her initial stock.

Union Pour La Progression Group's story

Madame Francoise is a client of the Hekima IMF and treasurer for the business group Union for Progress. She is a widow, age 45, and mother to five children who are all in school.

She sells food in a restaurant; she started this business in 2012 with startup funds she had saved. Later, she joined the Hekima program to support her business, which she has continued to grow. With this new loan, she plans to stock up on potatoes, oil, embers and rice, which will supplement her initial stock. The challenge for her business is related to a lack of customers and unpaid debts.

She would like to have her children continue to attend school and to feed her family. Finally, she wishes to thank Hekima and its partners for the support given to unbanked business owners in the context of this global COVID-19 crisis. The photo is only of the group leader because of COVID-19 social distancing measures.
