A loan helped to pay for ground filler to cover the mud around his house.

Mean's story

Mean is an experienced construction worker from a rural village in Kandal Province. He has been in the construction business for more than three years and also works as a paid laborer to earn additional income. Mean is in a common-law relationship with his wife, who is a loving mother of their two children. His wife raises poultry at home and sells fish at the local market to help cover their family’s needs. Mean and his wife also cultivate rice and are able to produce high yields each harvest season. They make a suitable income of 8 USD per day, which helps to cover their daily expenses.

Due to a shortage of resources, Mean applied for a loan of 2,000 USD to pay for ground filler to cover the mud around his house. With this loan, he will be able to provide a good environment and fresh air for his family, which will protect them from illnesses and create good living conditions.

In the future, Mean plans to renovate his house and encourage his children to continue studying at the university level. Through hard work and perseverance, he believes that he can attain a better standard of living someday.
