Issata's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase more slippers and shoes to sell.

Issata's story

Meet 28-year-old Issata from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with three children. All of her children are currently living at home while attending school.

Issata runs a business where she sells slippers and shoes. She has dealt in this business for the past eight years now and works 10 hours per day, six days a week. For the time being she has had no problem with her business.

Issata requested this loan from Brac Liberia, KIVA's field partner, to purchase more slippers and shoes to sell. She says that the income from this loan will help improve their standard of living. In the future she would like to build a house. She says thanks and gives appreciation to Brac and the Kiva community for their support.
