Jeanette's story

Jeanette is a resident of Abuyog, Leyte. She is 52 years old, married with one dependent. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for many years. Meanwhile, her husband works as a chainsaw operator to provide for their family’s need.

Now she has asked for a loan of PHP 8,000 through Kiva’s field partner CEV, (A Microfinance NGO) in the Philippines which she will use to buy assorted grocery items like toiletries, snack foods, canned goods, noodles, eggs, spices and drinks.

Jeanette aspires to augment their livelihood in the future and become successful.
