Brendah's story

Greetings from Vihiga, Kenya!

Brendah is a 28-year-old farmer living in Vihiga, in the western region of Kenya. She is single and a loving mother to her children. She has been involved in active farming for a few years. This is where her family gets its source of livelihood. Her main source of income is cereal farming. She enjoys mixed farming because it gives her a good income. The challenges she faces are limited funds to increase her farming.

Brendah approached Juhudi Kilimo to get a loan and purchase cereals such as corn and beans. Through this, she will have increased production leading to an increase in her profit margin. She says that microfinance institutions such as Juhudi Kilimo help uplift the living standards of small scale farmers. This loan will help her provide for her family and also pay school fees for her children. Juhudi Kilimo has made her a better farmer.

Kiva lenders, kindly aid her!
