Mohamad's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped Tol buy extra tables and chairs.

Mohamad's story

Mohamad lives in Bint Jbeil, Lebanon, where the majority of people work in tourism, tobacco farming, and agriculture. Eight months ago, Mohamad opened a restaurant called “Jabal El Sheikh”, which is located in the Villages Public Arena. He can be found in his restaurant 7 days a week, from 7 in the morning until late in the evening, or until the food runs out. In addition to sandwiches, Mohamad attracts people to his restaurant through “Arguileh”, a type of hookah or waterpipe, which is a single or multi-stemmed (often glass-based) instrument for smoking tobacco in which the smoke is cooled and filtered by passing through water. Originally from India, hookah has gained popularity around the world. This is Mohamad’s second time requesting a loan from Al Majmoua and he has demonstrated responsibility and kindness. A constant flow of customers visit his restaurant and business picks up at breakfast time, lunchtime and dinnertime. With the loan Mohamad hopes to receive, he will buy extra tables and chairs in addition to primary material for “Ramadan” the Holy month, since work becomes very active at this time. At the moment, his restaurant is well equipped with the basic necessities. He would like to use the money from this loan in a positive progressive way.
