Sonia's story

Sonia is a 46-year-old small business owner. She lives in Cartagena with her spouse, and she has been providing tutoring services for five years. Her business was born due to a need to earn an income to help her children get ahead in life and to help her husband.

She works with a number of children, who she helps with their schoolwork. This is her only source of income, which has allowed her to maintain her daily livelihood and that of her family. She has potential clients, such as parents who always come to her to provide quality services for their children.

Due to the global COVID-19 pandemic, her business downgraded due to biosecurity issues and her income dropped dramatically. For this reason, she is requesting her first Kiva loan with Fundación Santo Domingo with the goal of investing in the purchase of reams, markers, pencils, notebooks, and cloths.

Support her with this loan for her business.
