A loan helped to pay for ground filler to cover the mud around his house.
Don, 39, is an experienced construction worker from a rural village of Dang Tong district, Kampot province. He has been in the construction business for more than two years and also works as a paid laborer for additional income. He has a common-law relationship with his spouse, who is a loving mother of three children and who also works in agriculture business. Don tries very hard everyday at the construction site with his spouse to prepare construction supplies for building. He spends more than eight hours per day to make sure that his family members have enough food. Don is honest and industrious in his daily duties, because he wants to raise his living conditions and provide for his children's basic needs and education. Because of a shortage in his finances, he has applied for a loan of KHR 8,000,000 to pay for ground filler to cover the mud around his house. With this loan support, he can pay for the ground filling and provide his family members with a good environment and fresh air, protecting them from illness and creating good living conditions. In the future, he aims to renovate his old house and purchase more land farm for agriculture purpose. The photograph above is with his spouse. He believes that through his hard work and perseverance he will be able to attain a better standard of living someday.
