Thanh Yen 43 Group's story

Mrs. Xong, 58, is Thai ethnic woman who is married and lives with her husband, her son and daughter-in-law in a poor commune of Dien Bien district, Vietnam. It is a remote area and agricultural production is the main source of income.

Like other villagers in the village, Mrs. Xong's family only relies on agricultural production to earn a living such as: planting rice and raising cows and chickens. Previously, their life was really difficult because of the instability of income from agriculture as a result of their old traditional technique.

Since she has known about the Anh Chi Em program, she has been interested in its loan and agricultural training and counseling which have actually affected favorably her farming and animal husbandry. This time, she has taken out a loan from the program to buy a cow with the hope of reaping good income. With the profit, she can continue expand her cow model and save for her family.

Mrs. Xong dreams that her family will have abundant life. In the picture, she stands at the first from the right.
