Muong Phang 54 Group's story

Thirty-three-year-old Doan is a Thai ethnic woman who married very early. She lives happily with her husband and a 15-year-old son and 9-year-old daughter in a small stilt house in a remote village where agriculture is the main source of income of the villagers.

Doan has been a farmer since she was very little and has tried so hard to provide for the family, especially to give the best education to her children. She doesn’t want her children to go through as many hardships as her. To do that, Doan is very hardworking, in addition to growing rice, vegetable she also is raising chicken to create more income for her family.

Currently, she wants to buy chicks to to expand her livestock. To have enough capital to do it, Doan has taken out a loan from Anh Chi Em program. Doan hopes the chicks will grow fast and healthy. Doan shared that with the profit from selling chickens, she will pay tuition for her children.

Doan dreams that she will be able to send her children to a good college. Then they will have a good future and escape from poverty.
