A loan helped to buy beef cow breeds and materials for fixing the cattle pen.

Chanya's story

Chanya lives with her son in a Khmer community in Surin province, one of the lowest-income provinces in Thailand. She cultivates a rice farm and raises beef cows to make a living.

Chanya has operated her beef cow business for more than 4 years. She learned this business from the occupation trainers in the area. During this period, she has looked for a loan to develop the business to increase her income for her family's spending. Then, she applied for a Kiva loan to purchase beef cow breeds and materials for fixing the cattle pen.

The loan is very important for Chanya's business and will help her run the business smoothly. Notably, it will support this female entrepreneur as well. In the future, Chanya desires to have a better living standard.
