Las Duquesas Group's story

These are the enterprising members of Las Duquesas, a communal bank of Pro Mujer in Jinotepe, Nicaragua. The group is made up of eight women who work at various businesses such as selling clothes, firewood, cosmetics and nacatamales among other things. They are happy because with the previous loan business was good and they obtained good profits notwithstanding the Covid-19 condition that lowered sales.

Arleth Carolina (second from the right, wearing a black blouse and a denim skirt) is 26 years old and has two daughters of ages seven and three years. She has been selling fruits and vegetables for six years. She has her own secure business. To make progress faster, she needs a loan to start another business and invest in the purchase of several loads of firewood before the winter arrives. This will allow her to sell and obtain better profits. She is counting on you to make progress!
