Sabougnouma Group's story

Abou, the one with his hand on the ram, is a livestock farmer from Mali. He is 36 years old, married, and the father of five children, aged 3 to 12 years, two of whom attend school.

Abou has been practicing his trade for eight years now. He buys lambs and raises them for anywhere from four to eight months. His projected quarterly earnings range from 25,000 to 40,000 XOF. He buys and sells at the local market. Thanks to his income, he is able to meet his family's food and health care needs.

Abou is generous and enjoys a good reputation in his village. He would like to apply for future loans and become the major village breeder.
