Lucy's story

Lucy (44) is a mother of 2 children living in Kenyenya. She is a borrower who always desires to succeed. She is a determined woman who moves from pillar to post for the satisfaction of her family. However, she has withstood all of her challenges with anticipation of better things in her future. Today, Lucy is one of the most respected women in her remote village. She is a very hardworking and self-driven mother. Lucy is known in her village because of her resilient nature. On her farm, she has been keeping dairy cows, and nurturing the growth of various crops such as cane. The main challenge that Lucy often complains of is the high cost of farming inputs in her area. She has taken this loan so that she can buy quality farming inputs such as nutrient-rich fertilizer, which she plans to use on her cane crop farm. With these inputs, Lucy will be assured of a good harvest, which will consequently reflect in her pocket. Please support Lucy with a loan as she joins Kiva in fighting hunger and poverty in the universe.
