Luna Nueva En Huiloapan Group's story
This photo was taken at Concepción F.’s house. She is a member of the “Luna Nueva” (New Moon) group in Huiloapan, which is in the state of Veracruz in Mexico. She sells snacks and fried food. She can be seen together with the rest of her colleagues in the photo. She has been in this business for four years. She is requesting the loan to buy supplies for her snack sales in order to be able to increase her sales. Her customers consider her to be a responsible and tenacious person. She started selling sweets outsiD. of her house. Now she also sells snacks. She has had to expand her business with a canvas towards the street because she needs more space. Upon requesting this loan she feels happy to start a new loan, which will allow her to keep growing in her business. She is 57 years old, and she went to school until the third year of high school. She is single, and she has five children (four girls and a boy). She wants this loan to buy supplies for her snack and fried food sales. She wants to sell more and make her business grow. In the future she also plans to work with her daughter in order to rent a place and be able to set up a “fonda” (food business) in a formal way. This way she will improve her quality of life. Jacinta A. is the president of the group. She is 39 years old, and she has an elementary school education. She is single and does not have children. She started selling clothes two years ago. She is requesting the loan to be able to buy more clothes to sell and make her business grow. The group is comprised of 11 members. The other members are: Concepción C. (Sells Clothes), María Antonia F. (Sells Snacks), Elvia Yuridia M. (Sells Shoes), Verónica R. (Sells Shoes), Bertha F. (Sells Tamales), Ofelia M. R. (Sells Flowers), Estela A.
