Mercedes Yolanda is 45 years old, married and lives with her husband and their 17-year-old daughter.

Mercedes works selling different products, work that she learned from her parents from when she was 12 years old. During the mornings she sells fruits and vegetables, in the afternoon a warm cornflour drink and on the weekends she works selling food and other items.

Mercedes is applying for a loan to buy more products, including fruits, vegetables and a variety of food and in tis way generate greater income and help with the responsibilities of the home.

Mercedes, together with Natalia, Nathaly, Taina, José, Katerine, Guillerma, José and Ana form part of the solidarity group Alfa and Omega, being hardworking people dedicated to their families, who also mutually support each other to move ahead and in this way provide a better quality of life for their families.
