02_Ansata Group's story

Since its inception in January 1997, this group has been made up of united and energetic women. They are principally active in sales and livestock fattening.
Ansata, in the photo, is the representative of the group. She is 71 years old, a widow and the mother of 10 children. She is also the president of the "banc villageois" and takes full responsibility for her role. She is active in sales, which she has mastered well. She goes to the capital, or to a border country, to buy her products, which she then resells. She has a stall at her house. She plans to buy bags of sugar, some vegetables and some jugs of vegetable oil, which she resells at retail at her place. With the profits, she envisions savings in the "banc villegois", honoring her agreements and finally, beginning the construction of a shop, in order to develop her business.
