Sharon's story

Sharon is a 50-year-old woman who is married with five children and they live in a rural community outside Honiara, the capital of Solomon Islands.

She owns and operates a small general store business selling rice, noodles, canned foods and sugar in her community to earn a living. She has been in this business for one year.

She also runs a small marketing business selling buns, ring cakes, sewing dresses, blouses and children's wear in her community to earn additional income.

Sharon has requested a loan to pay for additional mixed food items, baking items, a sewing machine and rolls of fabric to assist her with her businesses.

She plans to use her profits to meet her family's financial needs and improve her business.

She joined SPBD in 2020.
